Description:

The Herbal Studies certificate is a 2-semester program that encompasses the study of herbal plants and the healing traditions from which they come along with modern scientific knowledge and the US regulatory environment. You will study the unique herbal medicine multiculturalism in the US, and how herbal medicine is influenced by the history of colonization, enslavement, immigration, and global trade. With a mixture of practical hands-on experience with the plants, theoretical studies of traditional medicine systems, and current practices within the field of herbalism, you will receive a comprehensive academic training preparing you for a wide array of jobs in the field of herbal medicine as well as further study in the field.
