Description:
The Photography and Motion program utilizes the latest in equipment and software to keep pace with professional industry requirements. Coursework covers strobe and continuous lighting, video, portraiture, advertising, studio and location photography. Image makers today require an understanding of social media, design, storytelling and platform specific best practices. The program will encourage individual creativity and expression. You will graduate with a professional portfolio and working knowledge of the photographic industry.

General Education Courses (15 Credits):
To complete the Photography and Motion A.A.S. degree, students are required to successfully complete 15 credits of General Education coursework. Students are required to successfully complete 15 credits of MnTC coursework selected from at least three of the 10 MnTC Goal Areas. CMST 1010 meets MnTC Goal Area 1 and CIST 1106 meets MnTC Goal Areas 6 and 8.
All students pursuing this award should work closely with their advisor to ensure proper selection of required program courses, and the required Minnesota Transfer Curriculum courses. You are expected to meet with your advisor on a regular basis to ensure courses are taken in an order that will lead to efficient and successful completion of the required coursework.
