Description: This course will introduce you to all aspects of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). You will learn about different types of drones, their specifications and imaging capabilities. You will discover how imaging from drones is expanding for many industries, including real estate, advertising, wedding, event, construction, security, search and rescue. You will get hands on experience flying different drones and learning their imaging capabilities both still and motion. A major portion of the class will be preparing for the FAA part 107 sUAS Pilot Certification.

2. Drone safety and Pilot in Command (PIC) responsibilities
3. Drone flight operations
4. Capture and editing drone imagery
5. Preparation for FAA Part 107 Knowledge Test

Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify types of drones and their applications in industry.
2. Demonstrate technical proficiency flying small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS).
3. Implement drone flight safety procedures.
4. Capture and edit drone images, both still and motion.
5. Demonstrate mastery knowledge of the FAA Part 107 sUAS Pilot Certification.

Prerequisites:  PHMO 1010 and PHMO 1030; or Instructor Approval
