Photography Internship (PHMO 2460)

Internship/Practicum Credits: 1 -3 Variable Credit

Description: The Photography Internship is an opportunity for supervised work experience that provides an important practical knowledge as well as a useful link to the job market. You will obtain an internship site that supports your special areas of interest and provides opportunities to interact with professionals in their working environment. You will keep a detailed journal during your internship experience, arrange a site visit for your Minneapolis College internship supervisor and meet with or participate in on-line discussions with other PHMO internship students. This is a variable credit course, it can be taken for 1,2 or 3 credits. Program requires 1 credit which equals 40 hours at the internship site.

1. Research Possible Professional Photography Internship Sites
2. Secure Internship Site and Determine Responsibilities
3. Maintain Daily Journal & Timesheet
4. Compose Final Essay on Internship Experience
5. Internship Site Evaluation

Prerequisites:  PHMO 2330 and PHMO 2380; or Instructor Approval
