Suspension Systems (BIKE 2020)

Description: This course covers the most common suspension systems, their use and repair. You will assemble and repair both front and rear suspension components. You will learn the theory of common suspension geometries.

2. Rear Suspension Systems
3. Dropper Seat Posts

Learning Outcomes:
1. Disassemble and reassemble commonly specified suspension forks
2. Disassemble and reassemble commonly specified rear shocks
3. Able to replace rear suspension pivot components.
4. Determine and set front and rear suspension sag for users.
5. Disassemble and reassemble two commonly specified dropper seat posts.
6. Select, install, and adjust a dropper seat post on a bicycle.

Prerequisites:  BIKE 1000, BIKE 1010, BIKE 1020, BIKE 1030, and BIKE 1040
Co-requisites:  BIKE 2010, BIKE 2030, and BIKE 2040
