Description:
This course prepares you for algebra and technical programs. You should be competent in whole numbers and decimals before taking this course, and you should need only a brief review of fractions and ratios. Topics include the following: percents; applications of ratio and percent; interpreting and constructing graphs; statistics (mean, median, mode); metric and English measurement; basic geometry concepts; and preparation for algebra. Class activities include short lectures, small group work and lab activities. Must be taken Pass/No Credit. NOTE: For programs having a mathematics requirement of
MATH 0060 only, students should take
MATH 0060 instead of
MATH 0077.
