Aircraft Electrical Systems (ACMT 1140)

Description: This course will cover the different electrical components such as: alternators, generators, starters, and voltage regulators. You will learn to inspect, check, troubleshoot, service and repair aircraft wiring. This course must be taken A-F.

Topical Outline:
1. Inspect, check, troubleshoot, service and repair of alternating and direct current electrical systems
2. Repair and inspection of electrical engine system components such as voltage regulators
3. Removal and installation alternators, starters
4. Inspect electrical wiring, switches, and warning lights

Learning Outcomes:
1. Inspect D.C. generator and A.C alternator.
2. Remove and install starter/generators and operation of both systems.
3. Inspect and install electrical wiring and related electrical systems.

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1005, ACMT 1010, ACMT 1015, and ACMT 1020 or Instructor Approval
