Image Editing and Optimization (AVRR 2020)

Description: This course explores editing and optimizing 3D rendered images for final presentation. You will employ techniques to add textures and materials to create high quality images. Students will construct realistic views by adding people, landscaping and other entourage to rendered environments. Exporting to standard image formats will be discussed and students will import images into a post processing software for editing. You must be proficient in REVIT and SketchUp in order to take this course.

Topical Outline:
1. Create rendered images to right quality and size for publishing
2. Manage a file management system that allows organization of all files
3. Construct rendered images in a post processing application
4. Create materials and textures for use in renderings
5. Create additional entourage to be added to rendered images

Learning Outcomes:
1. Create textures within the rendered environment
2. Construct renderings to be composited with existing photos.
3. Compose rendered images by integrating trees, people and other entourage
4. Apply techniques to export rendered images for presentations in a variety of media and platforms

Prerequisites:  Successful Completion of a 2 Credit Course in REVIT with a B or Better or Having 500 Hours Actively Using Revit in a Work Environment
Co-requisites:  AVRR 2000. It is highly recommended that students either complete AVRR 2000 before taking AVRR 2020 or register for AVRR 2000 concurrently with AVRR 2020.
