Description:
This course introduces the use of a variety of computer software programs to create architectural renderings and animations. You will use a given 3D computer model to explore best practices to create realistic lighting, strong composition, textures and reflections. This course will highlight the use of renderings for marketing purposes, design reviews and constructability. You must be proficient in REVIT and SketchUp in order to take this course.
Topical Outline:
1. Composition of a 3D computer model for use in renderings
2. Creation of textures and materials for 3D computer models
3. The set up and manipulation of various rendering software products to generate high quality images
4. Illustration of different image types that can be generated using rendering software

Prerequisites:
Successful Completion of a 2 Credit Course in REVIT with a B or Better or Having 500 Hours Actively Using Revit in a Work Environment
Co-requisites:
AVRR 2000. It is highly recommended that students register for
AVRR 2000 either before or concurrently with
AVRR 2010.
