Indoor Air Quality (HVAC 2115)

Description: This course covers theory, operation, and installation of commercial and residential air filtration equipment, including media air filters and electronic air cleaners. Commercial and residential humidifiers, theory, operation and installation of residential air exchange systems, and carbon monoxide testing will be covered. Must be taken A-F.

1. Residential humidification
2. Residential air filtration
3. Residential air exchange systems
4. Carbon monoxide testing
5. Radon gas testing
6. Blower door testing

1. Interpret, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair whole house humidification systems
2. Interpret, test, install residential air filtration systems
3. Properly, install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair residential air exchange systems
4. Interpret carbon monoxide gas issues in homes
5. Interpret radon gas issues in homes
6. Properly perform blower door testing in a residence

Prerequisites:  HVAC 1015, HVAC 1100, HVAC 1105, HVAC 1110, HVAC 1115, and HVAC 1120
