Description: This course covers air conditioning theory involving psychometrics (load calculations for residential heating and cooling) using the Manual "J" method of load calculation and load calculation computer software programs. You will work with ventilation and duct sizing calculations, as well as the use of various air conditioning tools and test instruments. Must be taken A-F.

4. Computerized residential load calculation

Learning Outcomes:
1. Interpret psychometrics related to HVAC
2. Properly measure and identify construction materials on residential building
3. Properly complete Manual J residential HVAC load for residential buildings
4. Interpret procedure for using computer software for residential HVAC load calculation

Prerequisites:  HVAC 1000, HVAC 1005, HVAC 1020, HVAC 1025, HVAC 1030, and HVAC 1035
