Description:
Laboratory examination of topics covered in
BIOL 1127. This one semester laboratory course is designed to introduce concepts in the laboratory setting. Investigative hands-on Lab procedures and simulations are utilized to study the complexity of humans in a biological world. The body systems are investigated and understood in a pattern of wellness. Ecological and genetic topics are also studied. This course is not part of the Nursing Program. Completion of both
BIOL 1127 and
BIOL 1128 are required to count toward MnTC Goal Area 3.

1. Design and test hypotheses by conducting lab experiments
2. Develop critical thinking skills through interpretation of experimental results
3. Investigate body organs and systems through the exploration of models and preserved specimens
4. Explore body processes through laboratory simulations/experiments
