Description:
This course examines the specific storytelling techniques for short narrative scripts using the three-act structure paradigm. You will develop, draft, rewrite and polish two short scripts demonstrating your ability to create thought-provoking stories with exciting characters, a stimulating mood and an inspiring dialogue. Must be taken A - F.

4. Ideation, Characterization and Treatment
5. The Breakdown
6. Rewriting the final draft
Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate a broad understanding of the short narrative screenwriting techniques
2. Create believable characters with strong drives, conflicts and obstacles within the confines in a short screenplay
3. Master the specific structural requirements of a short screenplay
4. Write four to six-page narrative scripts with a particular emphasis on visuals
