CNC Programming and Operational Concepts (MTTC 2030)

Description: In this course, you will perform basic CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programming and operation, utilizing CAD/CAM software. You will apply your knowledge of G-Code language in troubleshooting at the control interface of the machine.

Topical Outline:
1. Universal G and M code programming
2. CAD-CAM programming
3. CNC Machine concepts

Learning Outcomes:
1. Apply G and M coding and develop the CNC programs for part production
2. Plan and organize programs to set-up and operate machinery
3. Demonstrate CAD-CAM knowledge utilizing CAM programming
4. Identify and assess CNC machine nomenclature and operation and safety

Prerequisites:  MTTC 1500, MTTC 1505, MTTC 1515, and MTTC 2020
Co-requisites:  MTTC 2005
