Description: This course is an introduction to client-side solution technologies for enhancing the user experience on the World Wide Web. This course covers JavaScript programming language along with current industry trends and web standards. You will be introduced to basic programming concepts and write scripts using the JavaScript language.

Topical Outline:
1. Client-side vs. server-side
2. Scripting languages vs. Compiled languages
3. Solution overviews and labs covering JavaScript and current trends used to create dynamic web pages
4. Fundamental programming concepts

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand and explain basic programming fundamentals
2. Explain the differences between server-side and client-side solutions
3. Create and demonstrate various client-side solutions used in dynamic web pages
4. Demonstrate the ability to research and locate available scripts that may be used within a web site to enhance the client’s web experience
5. Create simple interactive web pages using languages presented in the course

Prerequisites:  WEBI 1416 and WEBI 1611 or Instructor Approval
