Assembly and Rigging (ACMT 1800)

Description: In this course, you will gain knowledge and experience for in-flight aircraft on both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. By integrating the theory of nomenclature and rigging procedures, you will also learn about the effects of flight control systems. Must be taken A-F.

Topical Outline:
1. Acceptable and non-acceptable aircraft safety
2. Acceptable procedures for aircraft rigging
3. Acceptable rigging procedures for primary and secondary flight control surfaces
4. Acceptable balance procedures for flight control surfaces

Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate aircraft jacking procedures
2. Perform control surface balancing
3. Understand the basics of aerodynamic theory

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1100, ACMT 1200, ACMT 1300 and ACMT 1400 or Admission to the Program with Course Equivalencies from another Approved FAR 147 School or Admission to the Program through FAA Approval
