Description: This course covers the principles of operation and maintenance of airframe and power plant fire detection and protection systems. Must be taken A-F. 

Topical Outline:
1. Operating principles of aircraft and powerplant smoke/fire detection systems
2. Troubleshoot fire-extinguishing systems

Learning Outcomes:
1. Inspect, check and weigh fire extinguisher bottles
2. Inspect fire detection system for general condition and proper operation
3. Check continuity and resistance of fire-extinguisher electrical circuits

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1100, ACMT 1200, ACMT 1300 and ACMT 1400 or Admission to the Program with Course Equivalencies from another Approved FAR 147 School or Admission to the Program through FAA Approval
