Description:
This course covers the principles of operation and maintenance of airframe and power plant fire detection and protection systems. Must be taken A-F.
Topical Outline:
1. Operating principles of aircraft and powerplant smoke/fire detection systems
2. Troubleshoot fire-extinguishing systems
Learning Outcomes:
1. Inspect, check and weigh fire extinguisher bottles
2. Inspect fire detection system for general condition and proper operation
3. Check continuity and resistance of fire-extinguisher electrical circuits

ACMT 1400 or Admission to the Program with Course Equivalencies from another Approved FAR 147 School or Admission to the Program through FAA Approval
