Description: This course covers the fundamentals of aircraft gas turbine engines, including the theory, design, construction, operating principles, inspection and maintenance fundamentals of aircraft gas turbine engines. You will also cover overhaul, removal and installation, troubleshooting techniques, and the maintenance fundamentals of aircraft gas turbine engines. Must be taken A-F.

1. Turbine engine operation and characteristics
2. Aircraft turbine engine overhaul per manufacturers specification
3. Maintenance of powerplant records
4. Turbine Engine maintenance and overhauls
5. Turbine engine controls and adjustments
6. Troubleshooting and inspections of turbine engines

Learning Outcomes:
1. Use appropriate manuals to perform maintenance on a turbine engine
2. Demonstrate turbine engine fuel nozzle maintenance practices
3. Identify damaged turbine blades
4. Demonstrate procedures used in troubleshooting in turbine engines
5. Perform hot section inspection of a turbine engine
6. Inspect, remove and install a combustor

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1100, ACMT 1200, ACMT 1300 and ACMT 1400 or Admission to the Program with Course Equivalencies from another Approved FAR 147 School or Admission to the Program through FAA Approval
