Description: This course covers basic sheet metal structures and their repair. You will learn to use fasteners and tools to make repairs caused by stresses and loads. Must be taken A-F.

Topical Outline:
1. Acceptable and non-acceptable aircraft riveting
2. Characteristics and identification of aircraft riveting
3. Acceptable methods of aircraft riveting
4. Requirements for installing and repairing aircraft sheet metal elements

Learning Outcomes:
1. Install and remove rivets of various sizes
2. Recognize and install special fasteners
3. Demonstrate use of aircraft sheet metal tools

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1100, ACMT 1200, ACMT 1300 and ACMT 1400 or Admission to the Program with Course Equivalencies from another Approved FAR 147 School or Admission to the Program through FAA Approval
