Community Development and Project Management (BUSN 2302)

Description:  This course provides an understanding of the best practices of community development project management. You will examine the roles and responsibilities of project development team members and managers. You will become familiar with budgeting, finding funding and financing methods. You will also participate in a service learning component. You will make informed decisions about career pathways into community development, organizing, or planning.
Prerequisites: 

BUSN 2301 or instructor approval.

Business Capstone (BUSN 2305)

Total Credits:  2   Lecture Credits:  2.0  
Description:  This course is required for students graduating from MCTC’s Business Management program. You will work with MS Office applications, case study problems, and communication models as well as review accounting statements to improve your technology, reasoning, accounting, and communication skills. You will demonstrate your proficiency in these concepts and skills through a semester long project.
Prerequisites: 

BUSN 2202. It is recommended that students complete BUSN 2202 with a grade of "C" or higher.

Business Internship (BUSN 2306)

Total Credits:  2   Internship/Practicum Credits:  2
Description:  This course provides students an opportunity to gain real-world experience while earning college credits. The knowledge you have gained in your prior business and accounting course work will be applied at a local organization partner site. You will work jointly with an assigned instructor and the partner contacts to achieve the course objectives. At the end of semester, you will deliver a final presentation to the partner.
Prerequisites: 

BUSN 2202.
