Molecular Biology (BIOL 2500)

Description:  This course will use an applications-based approach to molecular and cellular biology. You will explore the theories needed to understand and use techniques of molecular biology and methods used to establish current theories. The laboratory will expose you extensively to techniques widely used in academic and industry laboratories.

Biology Undergraduate Research (BIOL 2900)

Lab Credits:  2 - 4  
Description:  This course will provide students opportunities to carry out biology undergraduate research at Minneapolis College and earn academic credit. You must work with the instructor to develop and sign a research contract before registering for this course. You will learn to work safely in a laboratory or field setting, carry out protocols with accuracy and precision, and use good data documentation practices. You will develop troubleshooting and quality-control skills. You will analyze and report your results according to your research contract, for example, via a poster or written report. Must be taken A-F.
Prerequisites:  BIOL 2200 and Instructor Permission
