Description: This course will introduce students to the basic marketing and digital marketing essentials and tools focusing on the Internet, user experience and social media. You will learn terms, strategies, and key concepts with an emphasis on the current developments and trends. The theory of marketing will be shown through practical examples, conducting research, and case studies.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Explain the significance of a target market and a marketing mix in the development of a firm’s online marketing strategy.
2. Describe the strategic marketing process, including the basic components that comprise a firm’s analysis of the user experience and their digital online marketing program.
3. Apply a variety of market segmentation techniques and product positioning techniques to predict target market opportunities.
4. Utilize the marketing research and planning process of the user experience as it influences an organization’s decision-making and strategy in the development of an organization’s digital online presence and marketing plan and social media needs..
