Description: In this course, you will learn the principles of learning and critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, styles of learning and teaching, note taking, listening, textbook reading, researching and testing. You will develop strategies and techniques for analyzing your own learning/thinking skills and processes.

1. Demonstrate independent learning using the resources of texts, instructors and college support systems.
2. Perform active learning by engaging in a variety of college courses using higher order thinking skills.
3. Recognize life long learning as a process of discovery, questioning, and planned action.
4. 4. Utilize a variety of learning strategies as a way for understanding self and the diversity of others. 5. Conduct assessment of personal learning and selection of appropriate strategies to meet learning goals. 6. Describe strategies for learning in college and factors that influence learning. 7. Identify actions that affect themselves and others and assume responsibility for their own education and academic progress.
