Description: This course presents the theoretical aspects of vertical milling machine operation, including cutting, tool selection, clamping and indexing, workholding and fixturing, and feeds and speeds selection. The laboratory portion of the course covers safe operating practices, machine setup, cutting tool selection and the use of various milling attachments. Sample parts will be produced to test your understanding of the subject matter.
