Description: This course is an introductory survey of the peoples and their social and cultural institutions throughout the world. After an overview of basic geographic concepts, each of the world’s major regions are studied in depth. Finally, the course examines some global issues and global citizenship. This is a telecourse that uses the Annenberg/CPB Series titled “The Power of Place: World Regional Geography.” (A telecourse fee is charged.)
