Description: This course offers an introduction to geographic facts, theories and methods as they relate to humans and their occupation of the Earth. It uses a general systems perspective and a thematic approach to understanding where, why and how humans live. Various themes covered are the human-Earth relationship, population, migration, cultural systems, language, religion, social customs, social systems,development, politics, urbanization, agriculture, industrialization and natural resource use.
