Description:
This course focuses on introducing Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM). You will learn the Revit User Interface and the core Revit commands. You will also learn how to model and document a building using Revit.
Topical Outline:
1. Modeling using REVIT-provided objects (walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows and stairs)
2. Modifying REVIT-provided objects and construction types
3. Setting up and using project parameters (grids and levels)
4. Detailing
5. Annotation
6. Setting up views and sheets (including phasing)
Learning Outcomes:
1. Build a parametric model of a building
2. Manipulate the model, i.e. adjust locations, modify levels, revise wall types
3. Create sheets and insert views
4. Construct a detail
5. Create pdfs and plot
