Description:
The Health Sciences Broad Field A.S. degree provides a broad base of health science and general education coursework to prepare you for transfer into degree programs in health-related fields like Exercise Science and Community Health at Minnesota State universities. You will build foundational knowledge of nutrition, human anatomy and physiology, and the role of microbes in disease. You will explore social, psychological, and ethical factors that impact health and healthcare. You will practice skills of scientific reasoning and communication.
Students planning to transfer outside of the Minnesota State System are advised to consult with their intended transfer institution to determine transferability of the courses in this curriculum.
The Associate of Science in Health Sciences Broad Field transfers into majors including, but not limited to:
