Description:
This algebra-based statistics course covers the basics of descriptive and inferential statistics that introduce the fundamental concepts involved in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. You will learn the interpretation and evaluation of surveys, experiments, and statistical reports encountered in daily life. You will explore graphs, measures of central tendency and variation, probability, probability distributions (continuous and discrete), normal distribution, sampling distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing for one and two population means and proportions, chi-square, linear regression, and correlation. Additional topics may include t, or Poisson, or Binomial distribution.
