Description:
This advanced course in HTML and CSS authoring covers industry-standard code-editing software, graphics applications, CSS frameworks and extensions, and version-control systems used to create and manage professional websites. You will design quality responsive websites while adhering to accessibility standards
Topical Outline:
1. Design and production of interactive websites that deliver responsive content with a concern for overall design and aesthetics
2. Development of performant web pages that conform to Accessibility and Web Standards
3. The use of advanced CSS extensions such as Sass, and various CSS frameworks
4. Introduction to Git-based version-control systems
Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate and apply the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards for style, accessibility, layout, and formatting
2. Implement third-party scripts to add interactive features to web pages
3. Create and build web pages that utilize advanced CSS techniques and frameworks
4. Utilize a version-control system to collaborate on code
