Description: This course focuses on introducing Revit Architecture and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The beginning of the course will focus on the Revit User Interface and the core commands. The last half of the class will focus on the modeling and documentation capability within Revit Architecture.

Topical Outline:
1. Modeling using REVIT-provided objects (walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows and stairs)
2. Modifying REVIT-provided objects and construction types
3. Setting up and using project parameters (grids and levels)
4. Detailing
5. Annotation
6. Setting up views and sheets (including phasing)

Learning Outcomes:
1. Build a parametric model of a building
2. Manipulate the model, i.e. adjust locations, modify levels, revise wall types
3. Create sheets and insert views
4. Construct a detail
5. Create pdfs and plot

Prerequisites:  ARCH 1030
