Description:
This course focuses on health assessment of clients for health promotion and disease prevention, and those clients with chronic and acute variations in health. You will implement the nursing process for comprehensive and focused physical assessments, and demonstrate and differentiate collaborative and culturally congruent care practices throughout the lifespan. You will utilize evidence-based practices for the implementation of comprehensive and focused health assessment. Must be taken A-F.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate professional and therapeutic communication techniques with patients and families.
2. Implement teaching and learning principles for the purpose of patient and family health education with a multi-cultural approach.
3. Execute the nursing process with focus on utilizing clinical judgment and safe behaviors throughout the lifespan.
4. Use principles of evidence-based practice in the provision of multi-cultural nursing care.
5. Demonstrate collaboration within the scope of the nursing discipline to help patients achieve health goals.
6. Differentiate personal values, attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs in comparison to patient values and beliefs in the provision of nursing care.
