Program Requirements:
Students must officially declare Yoga Teacher Training as a major before they will be allowed to enroll in the required yoga-specific courses.
If you are looking to create your own practice, improve your Yoga skills or have a general interest in Yoga, the College offers
HLTH 1109 (Beginning Yoga),
HLTH 1111 (Yoga Topics),
HLTH 1505 (Meditation and Mindfulness),
HLTH 2209 (Advanced Yoga), and
HLTH 2215 (Ayurveda).
Description:
This program is for students pursuing a career as a Yoga Teacher. As a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance, our program exceeds the national standards to provide you with the knowledge, skills and practical experience to be a qualified and competent yoga instructor. Our comprehensive curriculum, including mindfulness, meditation, human biology and hands-on experience, will cultivate a unique, well-rounded perspective and nurture your development as a compassionate yoga instructor.

General Education (3 credits):
To complete the Yoga Teacher Training certificate, you must successfully complete three credits of General Education coursework from MnTC Goal Area 1.
All students pursuing this award should work closely with their advisor to ensure proper selection of required program courses, if applicable program electives, required Minnesota Transfer Curriculum courses, and MnTC electives. You are expected to meet with your advisor on a regular basis to ensure courses are taken in an order that will lead to efficient and successful completion of the required coursework.
