Description:
The Nursing Assistant program focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to care for clients in long term care, acute care, and/or home care settings under the supervision of a nurse. You will learn how to provide care safely as part of the healthcare team. Upon completion of the course, you will be eligible to take the examination for placement on the Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Your presence is mandatory at all class and clinical hours to achieve a passing grade in the course.

The Nursing Assistant Certificate Requires:

Passing a criminal background check prior to internship placement. The College cannot guarantee placement into the required clinical for students who do not have a clear criminal background check.
