Animation and Game Level Creation for VR (AVRR 2040)

Description: This course introduces the opportunities and techniques associated with higher level video and gaming software specific to the design and construction industry. You will create virtual environments and introduce objects and elements that can be manipulated by the user. Development of materials and textures will be explored. This course must be taken A-F.

Topical Outline:
1. Computer programming used in virtual reality
2. Game levels for virtual environments and transitioning between levels
3. Constructing objects that can be modified and manipulated within virtual reality environment
4. Composition of content for delivery as an executable file and for the web

Learning Outcomes:
1. Explore different presentation methods for displaying content
2. Manipulate video editing software to develop animations
3. Create different game levels for VR environment
4. Manipulate web-based tools to deliver VT, VR, and/or AR content
5. Develop materials and textures

Prerequisites:  Successful Completion of a 2 Credit Course in REVIT with a B or Better or Having 500 Hours Actively Using Revit in a Work Environment
Co-requisites:  AVRR 2030. It is highly recommended that students either complete AVRR 2030 before taking AVRR 2040 or take AVRR 2030 concurrently with AVRR 2040.
