Description:
This course demonstrates the techniques used to get the most efficient and effective use from virtual reality as a design, coordination and marketing tool. You will practice with tools designed to foster collaboration and improve communication in the industry. This course must be taken A-F.
Topical Outline:
1. Model coordination software
2. Clash detection in geometry of different components
3. Time lapse visualization of building construction
4. Realtime construction coordination with multiple users
Learning Outcomes:
1. Distinguish the different building disciplines that need coordination and why
2. Manipulate a 3D computer model to create separate models and virtual environments for a variety of disciplines
3. Import models into software that allows coordination
4. Develop image/animation outputs for use in discipline coordination
Prerequisites:
Successful Completion of a 2 Credit Course in REVIT with a B or Better or Having 500 Hours Actively Using Revit in a Work Environment
