Description:
This course covers the theory, operation, minor maintenance, and inspection of aircraft instruments, with emphasis on installation and inspection. This course must be taken A-F.
Topical Outline:
1. Operating principles of temperature indicating instruments
2. Operating principles of pressure indicating instruments
3. Operation and use of synchronous motors
4. Tachometer and engine E.P.R. operation
Learning Outcomes:
1. Test pilot and static systems for leakage.
2. Determine the operational integrity of a thermocouple type instrument system.
3. Determine the operational integrity of an electric temperature indicating system.
4. Determine the operational integrity of a pressure-type indicating system.
