Materials and Process (ACMT 1100)

Description: This course will cover common materials, hardware and processes used on aircraft. You will learn about fabrication of hydraulic lines and installation, and you will be introduced to aircraft fuel system storage and distribution. This course must be taken A-F.

Topical Outline:
1. Identify different materials
2. Identify aircraft hardware
3. Measuring and torquing equipment
4. Procedure of hydraulic line fabrication
5. Hardware safety/securing procedures
6. Fuel system storage and distribution

Learning Outcomes:
1. Use manuals to identify different metals.
2. Correctly identify different types of hardware and torquing procedure.
3. Correctly use measuring equipment.
4. Fabricate rigid and flexible hydraulics lines.
5. Properly install safety wire and cotter pins.
6. Understand fuel distribution operation and storage.

Prerequisites:  ACMT 1000, ACMT 1005, ACMT 1010, ACMT 1015, and ACMT 1020 or Instructor Approval
