Description:
This course will cover the rigging procedures for flight control surfaces. You will gain knowledge of flight controls on both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and you will learn how to balance a flight control surface. This course must be taken A-F.
Topical Outline:
1. Acceptable rigging procedures for primary and secondary flight control surfaces
2. Acceptable balance procedures for flight control surfaces
3. Knowledge of rotorcraft principles and theory
Learning Outcomes:
1. Remove and install primary flight control.
2. Adjust cable tensions and rig flight control.
3. Perform control surface balancing.
4. Fabricate a flight control cable.
