Description:
This course covers basic sheet metal structures and airframe repair. You will also learn how to use fasteners and tools to make repairs and modifications. An overview of welding procedures will be covered. Must be taken A-F.
Topical Outline:
1. Acceptable and non-acceptable aircraft riveting
2. Characteristics and identification of aircraft riveting
3. Requirements for installing and repairing aircraft structural elements
4. Welding requirements and principles
Learning Outcomes:
1. Install and remove rivets of various sizes.
2. Recognize and install special fasteners.
3. Demonstrate use of aircraft sheet metal tools.
4. Understand welding procedures.
