Description:
This course covers the skills of refining and adapting artwork for cohesiveness and inclusion in a professional portfolio. You will demonstrate advanced creative and production skills as related to your individualized course project in order to produce a professional design portfolio and capstone show. You will collaboratively implement and participate in the planning, organization and execution of a program-wide exhibit and final program portfolio website.
Topical Outline:
1. Individualized final portfolio samples will be used in the job search demonstrating professional craftsmanship and presentation
2. Planning, organization, and execution of a capstone portfolio exhibition and Web site with an emphasis on marketing, time management, communication and organizational skills through a series of assigned meetings, teams, and activities stressing visual presentation, consensus and cooperation
3. Refine and adapt artwork for cohesiveness, as well as professional packaging of the general portfolio while demonstrating professional craftsmanship, presentation, and aesthetics
4. Demonstrate their professional ability to communicate abstract and conceptual ideas; the creative and production process; professional communication and organizational skills; through activities stressing visual presentation, consensus, team cooperation and collaborative learning
5. Collaboratively implement and participate in the planning, organization and execution of a program wide exhibit and final proCram portfolio web site which is maintained for two years
Learning Outcomes:
1. Refine and adapt artwork for cohesiveness, as well as professional packaging of your professional portfolio that showcases your professional craftsmanship, presentation, and aesthetics
2. Demonstrate professional communication and organizational skills and activities while stressing visual presentation, consensus, cooperation while participating in the planning, organization and execution of a professional class portfolio exhibit and website
3. Demonstrate a professional ability to communicate, visually, with the written word, and orally as a team, and personally
4. Collaboratively implement, plan, organize, and execute a portfolio exhibition with an emphasis on, teamwork, marketing and time management
