This introductory course empowers you to make sense of your economic world. Through class discussion, group projects, or writing assignments, you will refine economic life skills and explore socioeconomic issues. You will discover the secrets of consumer psychology, the mechanics of financial decisions and the art of budgeting for life. You will use simple but powerful tools to analyze how markets work, when they work well and when they fail. You will examine the United States economy, financial markets, government policies and international relations.
