Description:
This course is a basic introduction to anatomy, physiology, embryology, and pathology, with an emphasis on the head, neck, and oral cavity. The course will focus on the human body systems, specific tissues, structures, and landmarks of the head, neck and oral cavity, to include the primary and permanent dentition. Must be taken A-F.

4. Specific tissues, structures, and landmarks of the head, neck, and oral cavity
5. Oral conditions and diseases

1. Identify specific teeth and tooth tissues
2. Identify charting methods and chart various dental conditions
3. Identify the systems of the human body
4. Identify the embryonic development of the face and oral cavity
5. Recognize oral diseases and disorders in the oral cavity
6. Identify, locate, and state the function of specific landmarks and structures of the head and oral cavity
