Description: In this course, you will learn to administer first aid in treating injuries and sudden illness, including training for breathing and cardiac emergencies. Certification will be earned upon successful completion of the course requirements.

1. The Citizen Responder
2. Breathing and Cardiac Emergencies
3. Bleeding, Soft Tissue Injuries and Bandaging
4. Musculoskeletal Injuries and Splinting
5. Medical Emergencies

Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate in practical test the skills of CPR , airway management, bandaging and splinting
2. Recognize the symptoms of sudden medical emergencies and perform proper first aid care/techniques
3. Analyze first aid situations and thoughtfully and quickly make correct decisions according to American Red Cross approved procedures/techniques
4. Explore the psychological impact of being a first aid victim or a first aider
