Description: In this course, you will learn to weigh an aircraft, calculate empty weight, and perform Empty Weight Center of Gravity calculations and record-keeping. Must be taken A-F.

1. Safely weighing aircraft
2. Weight and balance checks and recording data

Learning Outcomes:
1. Weigh an aircraft and determine the following items: empty weight, empty weight C/G, best weighing points and datum
2. Complete aircraft weighing maintenance records
3. Make the necessary changes to the weight and balance data resulting from an alteration to an aircraft
4. Determine ballast if needed

Prerequisites:  Admission to the Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program
