Description: This advanced course examines the theory and application of Type in Motion, using lecture, demonstration, and collaborative studio work. You will focus on the application of type for the Web, Cinema, Interactive Media, and other evolving presentation formats, in which type is integrated with other motion visuals. You will develop the ability to use and experiment with the design and the application of type in order to create an effective emotional impact through interaction, texture, color and storytelling.

1. 1. Analyze with a clear understanding of the type, and motion requirements of design for today’s motion storytelling and graphics for the Web, Cinema, and other Interactive Media
2. 2. Develop a body of portfolio work using the current the applications in type in motion design in order to create impact, emotion, interaction, texture, color and storytelling effectively in moving type
3. 3. Develop a greater ability to, plan and communicate abstract conceptual ideas through type design and presentation process and a clear understanding of the use of all the web standards of the elements of type, sound, motion, color, image and space

Prerequisites: 

GRPH 1101, GRPH 2110; or instructor approval.
