Description:
This course covers math commonly used in metal fabrication industries. Problem-solving skills will be developed through classroom exercises related to work done on the job. Use of various measuring devices will also be covered.

2. 2. Utilize applied geometry and trigonometry
3. 3. Understand English and Metric systems of measurement
4. 4. Understand ratio, proportion and percent
5. 5. Estimate and produce documents for material and consumable usage
6. 6. Read, understand and utilize tape measures, squares, calipers and micrometers
Prerequisites:
Placement score into READ 0200 or placement score into ESOL 0052 or completion of READ 0100 or ESOL 0042.
Co-requisites:
WELD 1150.
