Internship (HSER 2004)

Internship/Practicum Credits: 6.00

Description: This course is a capstone off-campus, experiential-learning component for the Human Services program. You will spend 240 hours at the human services internship site you selected during HSER 2003. You will be supervised by experienced professionals in the field and evaluated by faculty advisors from the HSER program. As an intern, you will apply and enhance your knowledge and skills learned in the program.

1. 1. Demonstrate competence in at least 2 of the HSER skill clusters including: Individual Counseling: Group Skills: Case management; and Systems Change
2. 2. Preparation for employment in field

Prerequisites: 

HSER 2003 passed with a grade of "C" (2.0) or above.


Co-requisites: 

HSER 2005.
