Program Elective Courses (9 Credits):
To complete the Criminal Justice Studies A.S. degree, students are required to successfully complete nine credits of program elective coursework. These nine credits can be selected from any of the courses listed below.
General Education Courses (6 Credits):
To complete the Criminal Justice Studies A.S. degree, students are required to successfully complete six additional general education credits outside the program requirements listed below. *CSCI 1100 and *HLSC 1000 cannot be used to satisfy the general education requirement, but can be used to meet the required program electives outlined above.
*HLSC 1000 is no longer offered.
Students seeking the A.S. degree in Criminal Justice must complete coursework in six of the 10 MnTC Goal Areas. Within the General Education coursework, students must complete a minimum of three credits in MnTC Goal Area 1, and a minimum or three credits from MnTC Goal Areas 7, 8, 9 or 10.
