Description: Advanced lathe operations are conducted using soft jaws, face plates, radius tools and taper-turning attachments. Additional projects studied include eccentric diameters, acme threading, tapered pipe threads and the use of a steady rest for machining long shafts. A variable-speed turret lathe with pneumatic bar feed is set up and operated with many of the turret tools available for this machine.
